NURSE RANT: Feeling alone as a new nurse? Let's change the culture and build SUPPORT into the structure

<p>Today&apos;s episode is a classic nurse rant that is tangential and all-over-the-place, but centers around new nurses not getting the support they need. I recently heard during a staff meeting that new nurses were having to take MORE patients (like 7-8 on the floor) and that their charge nurses were also in ratio, which basically equates to new nurses being thrown UNSAFE assignments, with no safety net nor any support. THIS IS NOT OKAY.
