NRA plans to introduce VAR in NPFL

<p>The Nigeria Referees Association has revealed plans to introduce Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the 2023-24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.</p>, <p>President of the NRA, Sanni Zubair, disclosed this during a chat with the media.</p>, <p>Zubair opined that the introduction of VAR would aid the performance of referees during games.</p>, <p>He added that the association is working closely with the NPFL broadcast partner to achieve the goal.</p>, <p>Zubair, a retired FIFA-badged referee, is optimistic of improved officiating in the upcoming season.</p>, <p>The new season will kick-off on September 9, with Shooting Stars versus Plateau United tie at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.</p>
