<p>'november in chicago'</p> <p>(thru the thick and thin)</p> <p><br></p> <p>and like the boughs we are stripped</p> <p>of our flesh in a hurry of colors;</p> <p>the north wind does not tolerate secrets</p> <p>nor does it allow the preservation</p> <p>of our dna under layers;</p> <p>we have lost daylight savings losing</p> <p>that savior of selves while our</p> <p>own feet trample veins of what once we were—</p> <p>born to seasons our deaths come by hours</p> <p>and without interlocked fingers we are prey</p> <p>to the gust and conditions</p> <p><br></p> <p>left cold</p> <p>so cold.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>#barflypoet</p> <p>#josephapinto</p> <p>www.josephpinto.com&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>© Copyright Joseph A.
