<p>First ever comic I've read by this publisher. I must say, I'm impressed.<br> <br> Spotted this title as a recommendation on Google books then spotted it again as part of a preview issue from AWA's Free Comic Book Day submission<br> <br> No such thing as a coincidence, so I knew I had to at least glance at this title.<br> <br> After a few pages, I knew I had to buy it and finish out this anecdote on social norms<br> <br> The writer took a metaphor and extended the shit out of it, and I loved every wordplay he tapped at<br> <br> Wow, is all I can say, after just finishing issue one a few minutes ago<br> <br> As you can see by the robot stand-in's for the AMERICAN GOTHIC portrait, some dark and sensitive social commentary is explored in this premiere issue<br> <br> At first I thought my imagination was just filling in what I thought was being hinted at, but then I suddenly decided to read the closing essay by the writer (something I only do if I'm REALLY intrigued by the story) and he confirmed, explicitly, the exact moral he was attempting to demonstrate<br> <br> 💥<br> Cons : Almost none, except that I would love to vlog on this but am hesitant as this is a highly controversial topic<br> <br> Pros: The writer and artist bring a touchy subject to a more digestible scale.
