North Clare Councillor Urges Public To Engage On Draft Parking Bye-Laws

Communities in North & West Clare are being called upon to engage with the county council on draft parking bye-laws proposed for prominent visitor attractions in the region. The planned bye-laws would see minimum parking charges of €2 for a three hour stay introduced at Spanish Point, White Strand-Miltown-Malbay, Kilkee, Fanore, Lahinch and Doolin. Disabled drivers and residents living in close proximity to the designated areas will be able to avail of permits, while the public will have up to August 22nd to submit their observations to Clare County Council. Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor, Shane Talty says it is vital locals take the opportunity to put their concerns forward.
