Nigel Edgar (Pride of Ballinran FB)

<p>Nigel Edgar is the conductor of the Pride of Ballinran Flute Band based in Kilkeel. The band are one of the top Melody flute bands on the road today and Nigel has played his part in helping the band develop their style over the years.</p><p>Nigel got his start with a Silver Band and then through a friend was introduced to the Pride of Ballinran around 1983 and he has been a member ever since.</p><p>Nigel has had some stand out moments with the band, playing at the Belfast Tattoo as well as playing at the Lord Mayor's show in London.</p><p>The band celebrated their 40th Anniversary during lockdown and were lucky enough to have completed the recording of a brand new CD to commemorate this milestone.
