Neymar to miss rest of season after rupturing ACL

<p>Al Hilal have confirmed that Neymar has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).</p>, <p>Neymar will now undergo surgery after suffering a meniscus tear in his left knee.</p>, <p>“The medical tests Neymar underwent confirmed the Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Meniscus tear injury in his knee.</p>, <p>“He will be going through surgery and then a treatment program that will be determined later,” Al-Hilal posted on X, formerly called Twitter.</p>, <p>The Brazil forward picked up the injury while playing in his country’s 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in World Cup qualifying on Tuesday evening.</p>, <p>The 30-year-old is now likely to miss the rest of the season.</p>, <p>It also leaves Neymar facing a race against time to recover ahead of the Copa America in the USA next summer.</p>
