Ten years ago, while undergoing a routine health checkup, he was diagnosed with stage 2 renal disease. This diagnosis came as a surprise to Jerome as he doesn’t have a family history of this condition. Unfortunately, his health has continued to decline. Now doctors say a kidney transplant is necessary. While awaiting his transplant, he endures regular dialysis treatments, which leave him exhausted and take a toll on his quality of life.<br /><br />During such a challenging time, Jerome is thankful to be surrounded by a strong support system. His beautiful wife, Kiya, their four children, and two grandchildren, have been by his side every step of the way providing much needed love and encouragement. While it has been very hard for Jerome and Kiya, these circumstances have also brought them closer together, strengthened their trust in each other, and given them perspective on what matters most in life.
