Nanjing’s new daily COVID-19 cases highest in months

The latest outbreak in Nanjing came to light when 17 workers at Lukou International Airport tested positive for COVID-19 last week. Other parts of China, including the provinces of Anhui, Guangdong, Sichuan, and Liaoning, have also seen cases related to the Nanjing cluster. With the Delta variant leading to many new cases around the world, scholars are calling for science-based origin tracing of the virus.
