In 2020, Kamilah co-developed and led a mental health strategy for a community organization based in York Region.  The strategy helped to demystify mental illness among African descended peoples and bring awareness to the impact anti-Black racism has on mental wellness. Kamilah is a mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend.  When she isn’t working, she can be found reading a book, sitting by the lake, crushing a good meal, or taking in a lesson from her greatest teacher...her daughter.Absolutely Not is a live podcast series dedicated to providing examples of setting personal boundaries at work. Special guests are interviewed about their experiences and what they have learned when having set boundaries.
