My victory collective will of Bayelsans – Diri

<p>Douye Diri has assured that he would remain governor for all citizens of Bayelsa State, irrespective of their political affiliation.</p>, <p>He made the announcement in a speech not long after Prof. Kuta Farouq, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced him the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.</p>, <p>Diri polled a total of 175, 196 votes to defeat his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who got a total of 110, 108 votes.</p>, <p>The governor also thanked the electorate for voting for him.</p>, <p>He added, “I am also immensely grateful to the leadership of our great party – the Peoples Democratic Party at all levels and our dedicated campaign team and supporters, who worked tirelessly to spread our message of progress and unity throughout Bayelsa State.</p>, <p>“Your unwavering belief in our vision for prosperity and your relentless efforts have brought us this sweet victory.”</p>
