Multi Tasking vs Mono Tasking: Productivity Secrets with Cary Jack

<p>Stop multitasking and start monotasking. Where your awareness goes, your energy flows.</p><p>In this episode of the Happy Hustle Podcast, I talk about productivity hacks and tips to make your day easier and more productive. </p><p>Multitasking actually doesn’t work. It is a myth. It is actually task switching. Be very deliberate with your time, effort, and awareness on one task at a time, not task switching. </p><p>Studies show mono tasking is much more effective. When you monotask, you are able to focus better on each task and can get things done more efficiently. As Jim Kwik says, control your external environment in your internal dialogue. </p><p>How can you make multi-tasking successful?</p><p>Plan ahead which tasks or activities you want to combine. This can help you to look forward to chores.<br />Limit certain activities to multi-tasking. For example, limit your Netflix time to the time you exercise.<br />Manage expectations and welcome the distraction. Combining tasks can increase the time you need to do them.
