#MonteMichaelMoore has been a professional illustrator and full-time artist in the gaming, comics, pin-up, and entertainment industries for nearly 30 years. Ever since I was 16 I knew I wanted to be an artist, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have the career I have enjoyed thus far. I've seen my Art Heroes turn into friends and mentors who are artistic greats and now who consider me a peer. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design/Illustration from Colorado State University, I attended my first Comic-Con International in San Diego with some friends who self-published our first comic book in 1993. After that, I started freelancing for other indie publishers and getting my own work marketed to new industries like gaming and attending my first GenCon. As an avid gamer since the early '80s and a fan of comics, I knew I had found the right place for my art. I've gotten a reputation as one of the hardest working artists in the industry, always striving to make my art better, to never miss deadlines, to be available to fans and collectors, and to work with new clients. My first art book was published when I was 25, and after Winning the World Fantasy Art Show in 1998 and 2001 for Best Black and White Art, I knew I was on the right track. Although my art was rejected by many clients early on...I never gave up, it only fueled my determination. Eventually, every single client and magazine that rejected me...finally accepted and hired me. Now my work can be seen on great properties and magazines such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Dungeons and Dragons, Playboy, The U.S. Marine Corps, Coors, Harley-Davidson, and many others. I've enjoyed working for clients on movie posters, role-playing games, collectible card games (like Magic: The Gathering), video games, novel covers, and have even become recognized as one of the top custom painters in the motorcycle industry, one of my own personal passions.
