Midwives in the Media

After the recent release of the Netflix movie, "Pieces of a Woman," Gina and Nedra decided we simply had to watch it and discuss on Mod Midwives. Whenever a loss in a home birth is portrayed, we are always worried about the optics. While the subject matter is tough, and we have a number of issues about the specifics, the movie did unfold differently than we expected it to do. We also spend a shorter time discussing Midwives, by Chris Bohjalian, Call the Midwife, and Virgin River, a new Netflix series. Fair warning: there are a TON of spoilers in this podcast.
