MidWest Hospitals Campaign Makes Fresh Call For Urgent Enhancement Of Region's Model Two Facilities

The MidWest Hospitals Campaign is making a fresh call for services at the region's model two facilities, including Ennis Hospital, to be enhanced as a matter of urgency. It follows a meeting held with HSE CEO Bernard Gloster, where the group has queried the progression of expanded capacity and extended operating hours at Medical Assessment & Local Injury Units. In April, The UL Hospitals Group received €5.2 million in funding to extend a seven-day service and increase staffing levels at Ennis, Nenagh & St.Johns. However Ballyvaughan-based member of the campaign group, Noeleen Moran believes funding needs to be reinforced by immediate action.
