This week Nicky Lambert and David Munday spoke with guest Brigitte Martins about gambling and mental health. BM - Graduated in Psychology in 2006, she also obtained a MSc in social psychology and a post-graduation in Children and Young People Psychology as well as a Level 5 certificate in Leadership and Management (Chartered Management Institute). She started her career as an Educational Psychologist, supporting young people to overcome obstacles in achieving academic and professional goals. In 2016, she began her work with gambling addictions, providing individuals with a holistic support, applying cognitive behavioural therapy and psychosocial interventions to remove unhealthy habits such as gambling. Today, she is the service manager for the charity GamCare´s London treatment services, UK’s leading provider of Gambling Addiction support, where she ensures and works towards better ways to support, treat and reach out to those affected by Gambling Related Harms in London, alongside her role as a coach, supporting individuals and organisations achieve their personal, professional and organisational goals.
