He has 33-years experience as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) including working at Board level as a Chief Nurse, Operations Director, and Chief Executive in the private, not for profit and public sectors. Steve has held visiting professorships in Mental Health at three UK Universities. He is qualified executive coach and is just about to return to academia to teach at Keele University, Staffordshire. Steve is a strong supporter of recovery, trauma informed approaches to understand mental health conditions and psychological distress and the need for compassionate leadership to create cultures that support recovery.
