Matthew 4:1-11 - Check the Scoreboard

When the devil attacks, he'll try anything - anything that will lure you away from Christ and the truth of Scripture. He is a predator, a manipulator, and a liar. The sad truth is: he often wins. If you can define someone by what they do or what they have done, you may surmise that the devil is a winner. But he is not. Jesus is the winner. Jesus is the champion. He defeated the devil by never falling into temptation. He defeated the devil by offering himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. His victory is our victory. So, you are not defined by what you do or what you have done, you are defined by what Jesus has done for you!
