Matt D - Journey In Recovery - Step 11 - 143

<p>On Reco12 today, we will be talking with Matt D about Step 11 and his journey in recovery based on that step. It is pretty interesting to me that many of the new ideas and practices that I have learned about and that I am putting into place in my own life have to do primarily with Step 11. This is another powerful conversation with some really good insights into Conscious Contact with God.<br/><br/>Back in 2019 I was hosting another podcast called <a href='https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/journey-through-life-podcast/id1262931412'>Journey Through Life</a>, it was a long-form conversation/interview style podcast.  It was not recovery related, although I was actively working my recovery.  Duriing this time, I felt compelled by my Higher Power to do a series on the Journey Through Life podcast called Journey in Recovery.  In this series, I interviewed 16 people over a 3 month period on each of the 12 Steps of Recovery.  It was during this 3 month period that my own recovery walk was radically changed and my vision of what the Steps can do for anyone, anywhere, from any background was drastically opened up.  </p><p>It was after this series, that the idea of the Reco12 Speaker Meeting Podcast came to be.  It was in this series that I realized just how powerful the Steps of Recovery are.  It was in this series that my Higher Power opened up huge new ideas to me.  The concept of firing my old concept of lower case g god and hiring a new Capital G God and the practice of Two Way Prayer are just two of the major game-changers that came to me in during that time and that continue to shape and re-shape my walk with God and with my fellows.  <br/><br/>Resources:<br/><a href='https://gate.sc/?url=https%3A%2F%2Falladdictsanonymous.org%2F&amp;token=cee8df-1-1671652180721'>alladdictsanonymous.org/</a><br/><a href='https://gate.sc/?url=https%3A%2F%2Faa.org%2F&amp;token=237ca9-1-1671652180722'>aa.org/</a><br/><a href='https://gate.sc/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sa.org%2F&amp;token=50d191-1-1671652180722'>www.sa.org/</a><br/><br
