The entire 1028 verses of Rigveda are written on one meter or the other which clearly indicates that mathematics was so deeply entwined &nbsp;in ancient Indian lifestyle that the entire communication was done mathematically . &nbsp;Out of six compulsory subjects which were pre requisites for those who wanted to know the Vedas , Chanda(Meter) and Jyotish(Astronomy) were designed to give vivid knowledge of mathematical concepts and mathematical cosmology. &nbsp;Baudhayana,Aryabhat,Varahamihira,Bhaskaracharya gave various concepts of pi,trignometry,calculus,pascal's triangle.The oldest extant mathematical manuscript in South Asia is the Bakhshali Manuscript.
