<p>Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, March 1, 2020, the 1st Sunday of Lent, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church.</p> <p>The <a href="http://usccb.org/bible/readings/030120.cfm" target= "_blank" rel="noopener">first reading</a> recounts the Fall in which Adam and Eve believed a lie about God, and things have been going downhill ever since. But it's not without hope because God is crazy in love with us, and He delights to save and restore us. Lent is not about what we give up.
