Facebook and Google have gone to war over a proposal to make them pay Australian news outlets for their content. Facebook is threatening to deprive millions of Australians of their main source of news if the law is passed. The Government argues it's a fair demand, and news companies desperately need the revenue. But tech companies say it's a fundamental misunderstanding of how the internet works.
