Tuesday 23rd February

Hallelujah! Praise God!

We thank God for a lovely day. Today is Tuesday the 23rd of February and we thank God for the gift of life. We are talking about “Love is Living”

What is the essence of love? How useful is love if it is not lived out? Jesus was telling his disciples that if they had salt and the salt had lost its taste and wasn’t changing anything , then it was not good for anything and it should be thrown out and trampled under the feet of men.

It’s the same thing with love. Why talk about love when it cannot change people’s lives; when it cannot make things better for other people. The only way love can change people and make things better is when we live it out. The only way we can live out love is when we allow the Person of love live in our lives. Remember God is love, Jesus is God and Jesus came to show us how to live.

We read in the gospel of John “in the beginning was the word and word was with God and the word was God.” This word is the person we call Jesus.

The gospel of John 1 : 14 (MSG) says,

The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighbourhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.

This scripture is talking about Jesus the son of God who became flesh and blood and moved into the neighbourhood and how people saw Him and how He lived with their own eyes. God is counting on you to be the Jesus that moves into neighbourhoods and live out love out in it. How do we do that? Just look at the life of Jesus and what he did.

Remember what the Bible says about Jesus in Hebrews 1:3; “The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,
