Local Support Services Highlighted In One Hour Mental Health Special

On Thursday's Morning Focus, a suicide prevention and awareness hour took place. Alan was joined by a variety of guests live in studio in order to raise awareness of support services available across the county. Guests included Jerard Enright who is a Suicide Bereavement Liaison Officer for Clare, Limerick & North Tipperary, Tom McEvoy who is a Fundraising and Advocacy Manager for Pieta House, Eric Culligan who is the Manager of Ennis Haven Hub, Margaret McMahon , who is the Director of the Clare Branch of the Samaritans, Dan O'Connor who is the Chairperson of Clare Suicide Bereavement Support, Molly who is the Co-ordinator for Clare Suicide Bereavement Support, Irene Hehir who is a 2nd year Student of Counselling and Psychotherapy with PCI College and has previously availed of Pieta House services along with Michael Collins who is a Resource Officer for suicide prevention with the HSE Mid-West Mental Health Services.
