John founded For Our Shared Humanity, a charitable non-profit organization created to shape and share an educational, cross generational voice focused on strengthening the indivisibility rooted in the common ground upon which we all walk. John decided to start his journey by walking from Westhope, North Dakota to Hope, Texas, a 1,700 mile hike over 120 days down spine of the USA which he called Walking the Middle.
