Let's Watch! Heavy Metal 2000 (2000)

<p>Acomi and Turk182 realize why some prayers go unanswered. Sometimes God can't answer your prayers. But, Satan can! And, that must be how we ended up with the long awaited and severly underwhelming and disjointed <em>Heavy Metal 2000 (2000) also known as Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2</em>. Based on the <em>Melting Pot</em> graphic novel by Simon Bisley, Kevin Eastman, and Eric Talbot the movie stars Julie Strain, in both voice and likeness, as the heroine... Julie. &nbsp;</p> <p>Making a loose connection to the original film, with a mysterious glowing meteorite being the underlying antagonist, the main villain travels the cosmos in search of a lost alien race that can make him immortal. With Julie's home world being the first stop on the Self Indulgence Mass Destruction intergalactic tour - <em>Coming to planet near you!</em> &nbsp;- she embarks on a reckless journey of revenge. &nbsp;</p> <p>Lackluster animation devoid of detail and shading, combined with emerging CGI rendered graphics make watching the movie as disjointed as watching a black &amp; white movie with old school red &amp; blue 3D glasses. Like the first movie HM 2K has an amazing hard rock soundtrack, but the songs don't fit the scenes they're in.</p> <p>Join Acomi and Turk as they try to convince each other to not open the airlock and embrace the cold death of space instead of watching anymore of <em>Heavy Metal 2000</em>. On the plus side there are a multitude of pictures online of the amazon goddess Julie Strain dressed as her HM 2K character. &nbsp;Complete with badass weapon.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. &nbsp;The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. &nbsp;All jokes and comments are improvised. &nbsp;NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS!</p> <p>During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. &nbsp;Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience.</p> <p>S
