Lesson 43 Jesus' Burial

Joseph from Arimathea and Nicodemus took down the body of Jesus from the cross. They wrapped the body in linen cloths with spices. They placed the body in Joseph's own tomb.Then a large stone was rolled to close the entrance The chief priests asked Pilate to put guards by the tomb. This was do that the disciples would not steal the body. The priests thought the disciples might do that and tell the people that Jesus had risen from the dead.
