<p>dormire = to sleep</p> <p>partire = to leave</p> <p>aprire = to open</p> <p>Then to conjugate these infinitives, you will drop the 'ire' and add the following endings:</p> <p>io = add 'o'</p> <p>tu = add 'i'</p> <p>Lei/lui/lei = add 'e'</p> <p>noi = add 'iamo'</p> <p>voi = add 'ite'</p> <p>loro = add 'ono'</p> <p>So to conjugate the verb 'dormire':</p> <p>io dormo</p> <p>tu dormi</p> <p>Lei/lui/lei dorme</p> <p>noi dormiamo</p> <p>voi dormite</p> <p>loro dormono</p> <p>Il mio amico dorme sempre in classe. = My friend always sleeps in class.</p> <p>Tu apri la finestra. = You open the window.</p> <p>Noi partiamo oggi. = We leave today.</p> <p>Loro partono domani. = They leave tomorrow</p> <p>Voi partite dopodomani. = You (plural) leave day after tomorrow.</p>
