Description

Sermon: Prayers of the Past, Hope For the Future - Part 1

Scripture: Psalm 2

Speaker: Rev. Dan Wunderlich

Description: The Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 poetic songs and prayers. But it isn’t just a “best of” collection - they are intentionally arranged, communicating deep truths within and across psalms. These prayers give us both a picture of the past and hope for the future.

Sermon Series: Learning to Read the Bible

Even if we accept that the Bible is not a textbook or moral instruction manual, we can still desire more clarity. For example, why are so many details in some of the stories either vague or missing completely? It turns out that this isn’t a mistake or just some cultural quirk of ancient literature, but it is an intentional tool of the biblical authors.
