<p>In our season 3 finale Katya Rowley is joined by her father, Paul Rowley! Paul is a graduate of the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law (2006). While at Windsor law, he completed both a semester and summer session at Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW), which provides community legal services for those in the community unable to afford a private lawyer. He then articled at LAW.</p> <p>Following his articles, Paul then spent 9 years in various Corporate Labour Relations/Human Resources positions in the automotive industry, before taking positions as In-House Counsel at the Children's Aid Societies of Windsor and Chatham.</p> <p>He has published a chapter in Legal Education Materials on the subject of child protection law - and was a sessional Instructor teaching mediation in the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College.</p> <p> Currently, Paul is a sole practitioner, practising in all aspects of family law. This, in addition to being a panel member of both the Office of the Children's Lawyer, as well as Public Guardian and Trustee. </p> <p>Paul is an instructor with the Ministry of the Attorney General Mandatory Information Program - and he also participates in the Legal Aid Ontario Second Chair Program, which pairs junior lawyers of senior counsel, in order to gain trial experience. </p> <p>In this episode, Paul shares his journey to law school, law school experience, finding his passion and the importance of building and maintaining your reputation. In addition, Paul shares invaluable practice tips and advice for both future in current law students.</p>
