Lahinch GP Calls For More Doctor Training To Meet Growing Population

A Lahinch GP insists that more doctors must be trained to meet the growing population. It comes as the Irish Medical Organisation has published its pre-budget submission today, which is calling for radical reform in the health system. According to the IMO, the Department of Health must focus on the chronic under-funding and under-resourcing in the sector for the upcoming budget. Member of the IMO’s GP Committee, Dr Michael Kelleher, fears the major stakeholders don't accept how big the problem is.
