<p>In this episode of recovered we talk to recovered alcoholic, Kristen E. Kristen shares how she grew up being socially awkward and isolated herself the majority of the time until she found alcohol where she was finally able to cope with her social anxiety. As her alcoholism progressed, she came to a place where she was absolutely miserable and willing to go to any lengths to achieve sobriety and since has not experienced a relapse. Shortly after moving out of sober living, she went back to a state of isolation where she would spend her days sleeping and ignoring life. After concerned friends confronted her, she dove back into the program. She shares her experience with carrying the message, getting connected and involved in a home group, Step 11, and what service has looked like throughout her recovery journey.</p> <p>All donations help us to provide programs and services – to alcoholic women and their families, at absolutely no cost.
