Forced business closures, no gatherings with friends or family, schools shut down, borders closed... A new analysis out of Johns Hopkins University says those lockdowns did nothing to reduce the mortality rate of covid-19.<br /><br />Background: The study was led by a Johns Hopkins University professor, Steve Hanke. It identified 18,590 global studies on covid lockdowns, then selected the 24 most relevant - where the studies measured the effect of lockdowns on mortality and used real-world data.<br /><br />The result: Their analysis found that covid lockdowns caused just a 0.2% reduction in virus deaths.
