John Jeffers of Whiskey Myers

<p>John Jeffers is the Guitarist and background vocalist for American Rock/Country group Whiskey Myers. John joins Country Music Made Me to discuss his families musical past that he didn't become aware of until his teens, how natural ability shone threw when he first picked-up the guitar, and how his focus quickly turned from baseball to music in his later teens. John and Brendan talk about the early days of Whiskey Myers, how a focus on their live show from the very beginning has helped build a loyal following of fans, and why the group have stayed independent rather than taking an easier road. John explains how the band navigated through the pandemic, what they've learned from self-producing their last two albums, including their upcoming release Tornillo, and the excitement they have heading into their sold-out summer performance at Red Rocks.</p>
