John 19:17-30 - Gruesome Beauty

There is a gruesomeness to the cross. The pain that Jesus went through was gruesome (to say the least). It is gruesome for us to see what our sins did to Jesus, to see what our sins deserved. But there is also a beauty to the cross. At the cross we see just how much Jesus loves us and we see just what he was willing to do to save us!
