Between 1974 and 1987, Bakker hosted the television program <em><a title= "The PTL Club" href= "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_PTL_Club">The PTL Club</a></em> with his then wife, <a title= "Tammy Faye Messner" href= "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Faye_Messner">Tammy Faye</a>, and developed <a title="Heritage USA" href= "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritage_USA">Heritage USA</a>, a now-defunct Christian theme park in <a title= "Fort Mill, South Carolina" href= "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Mill,_South_Carolina">Fort Mill</a>, <a title="South Carolina" href= "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina">South Carolina</a>.</p>
