Jesus Came To Show Mercy

<p>“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through [Jesus] might be saved. He that believeth on [Jesus] is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:17-18</p><p>Changes! No more bloodline salvation; whosoever will (not whosoever wants). There are requirements for salvation. Deny yourself, die (take up your cross), and follow me. Jesus is a stranger to His church. Salvation not one and done; we need to change. When we move from mercy we "don't know what Spirit we are of". They entered a village of Samaria to make ready for Jesus’ passing through that place.</p><p> The Samaritans would not receive Jesus because he was going toward Jerusalem. Two of his disciples, James and John, became very angry over this and said:</p><p> “Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from Heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did?”</p><p> But Jesus turned and rebuked them, saying:</p><p> “Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”</p><p> So they went to another village.</p>
