Welcome <em>to Discover CircRes</em>, the podcast of the American Heart Association Journal, <em>Circulation Research</em>. I'm your host, Dr Cindy St. Hilaire, and I'm an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh.</p> <p>The goal of this podcast is to share with you highlights from recent articles published in the <em>Circulation Research</em> Journal. But today, we're going to have a special edition focused on early career.</p> <p>The American Heart Association has 16 different councils. One of which is basic cardiovascular sciences,  or BCVS. The BCVS Scientific Sessions is held annually and brings together basic and translational cardiovascular scientists from around the world.
