Most of the time, its not about the feelings. It's about the feeling we have about the feeling. We learned in one way or another that its wasn't ok to feel the feeling we had- anxiety, sadness, anger, etc. We learned to suppress it, to be ashamed of it and that it meant we were weak. What is the meaning behind the feelings that you are trying to avoid. The feelings that you have learned to suppress by default. What would it feel like to turn towards the feeling with love? How would it feel to stop running away from feelings and just accept them and validate them. You can learn how to give your feelings a safe space for them to be felt and to then release. Feelings are meant to be felt for a reason, they are not meant to be judged, shamed or shoed under the rug. So what meanings about your feelings can you shift today?
