Hello and a wonderful Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus and compliments of the season to you!  We want to thank God for everything because through Christ, in everything and for everything, we can give thanks. That’s what we are talking about all through this week. You can release and unleash the miraculous power of thanksgiving and I pray that will be your experience in the name of Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5: 18 (NLT) 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Ephesians 5: 20 (NLT) 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The simple lesson here is this; no matter the situation, you can give thanks to God.  There is a story in John 9; Jesus and his disciples had gone into the city and they saw a man who was born blind. The disciples said “what sin made this man blind from birth?” And Jesus said it’s not this man’s sin nor his parent’s but that the glory and power of God will be seen in the man’s life. Jesus then performed the work of God on his life displaying His power and this act healed the man’s blindness.  When this happed it resulted in praise, adoration, appreciation and thanks giving to God. t wasn’t so much about how he got there; it was that even in the midst of a bad situation, God can bring His glorious work out. And that is why he says that for everything, you can give thanks.  We’ve been talking about the story Russell Nelson the 96-year-old man from whose life we are learning some lessons about The Power of Thanksgiving.   He spoke about the losses he had experienced, lives lost during operation he did as a surgeon, the death of his wife and the death of his two daughters to cancer and how painful it was.
