Imagery of the Bible

The sabbath is a sign to the Lord we desire to delight in what he delights in. We need to be the kind of person that delights in sabbath day worship and learning. If we don’t delight in the sabbath we can work piece by piece until the sabbath is a day we look forward too. Isaiah 58 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. The sabbath is a foreshadowing and type of the millennium. Men will be focused on doing the work of salvation and temple work during the millennium. The spirit of Elijah will be felt by the saints. The sabbath is a sign to the lord how we feel about him. Exodus 13 13.Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. The sabbath is a time to remove ourselves from Babylon and be sanctified by the lord. It is a time to remove ourselves from the influence of idol worshippers. 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Ezekiel 20 16.Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols. The death penalty reflects the level of accountability expected by the people. The lords laws were not to be mocked and his judgments on the matter were severe.
