Description

Continuing with the story of Naaman, we look at what happened, what he did and learned following his healing and encounter with the one true God Yahweh. We look at some of the language and culture and delve into what life was like under the “gods” of the nations and what that meant. I bring up one of the things that I am opposed to in today's church, one of things I believe is wrong. Some of the others in our group flatly disagree with me on this and we have a very heated debate on the subject.

And like always even after “a pull no punch” debate or “argument” we remain brothers in Christ, and I truly hope everyone can learn from that.

Information resources for this study:

The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary

Dictionary of deities and demons in the Bible

Manners & customs of the Bible

The Lexham English Bible

The Lexham English Septuagint

ESV

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Greek (New Testament)NAS Exhaustive Concordance

The Bible Guide

Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature volumes I-X-A-Z

https://biblehub.com

Logos Bible Software

https://www.bibleinhebrew.com

http://www.mechon-mamre.org
