I Want to Pray But What Do I Say_6

<p><strong>Thursday 6 May 2021</strong></p> <p>I want to pray, but what do I say? 6</p> <p>God wants to hear you and I know a lot of us have things to say to God but sometimes the process of prayer can be very complicated, particularly if we are young believers or have not been taught well about prayer. All this week, we've been discussing some basic things we need to know when it comes to prayer. We’ve learnt that prayer can be taught. Secondly is that prayer is to the Person of God our loving Father. Yesterday we spoke about adoring, appreciating and acknowledging His name because His name carries His ability and authority, so you can understand why we pray in the name of Jesus.</p> <p>Now let’s read again in Luke 11: 2 (NLT)</p> <p>Jesus said, this is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon.”</p> <p>When He said to pray “May your kingdom come soon.” It means we are agreeing and working with God to see His rule and reign on the earth. In Matthew 6 Jesus said “…Your Kingdom come; your will be done…”. The way we see His kingdom come is when God’s will and values are done in our lives, homes and communities. God created mankind to extend the values of the kingdom of God on earth, just as it is in heaven. When man fell in the Garden of Eden, that plan was messed up but though Christ it is back on track. When God’s will is done on earth just as it is in heaven, that’s how His kingdom comes.</p> <p>May you see the manifestation of God’s kingdom is every area of your life as you give Him freedom to work through you in the name of Jesus.</p> <p>God bless you.
