‘I didn’t expect it’ – Buju on winning Headies award, Bentley

<p>Sensational Nigerian singer, BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has said he was stunned when he was announced as the winner of the 2022 Headies Next Rated award.</p>, <p>The ‘Finesse’ crooner beat industry rival, Ruger and others to clinch the prestigious award and walked home with a brand new Bentley BENTAYGA SUV star prize.</p>, <p>He said before the event, he bought himself a car as consolation should he lose out.</p>, <p>The singer stated this in a recent interview with Hip TV.</p>, <p>BNXN said, “I was really stunned winning a Bentley, mainly because I wasn’t expecting it. I thought it would take me a longer time to get a Bentley. I just got a car before that award show because I didn’t want to be pressured by losing the car Bentley or not. So, I had to buy another car separately to compensate myself.</p>, <p>“But when I won I was really stunned. Even when they shipped it and brought it to Lagos, it was another, ‘Wow! It’s right here.’ I was really excited.”</p>
