Description

The HSE says it will examine the possibility of repurposing a fully refurbished vacant property under its ownership in Clare. Inis Ghile in Parteen has 19 en-suite bedrooms and received full retrofitting in 2019 before briefly being utilised as a Covid vaccination clinic during the pandemic. Following the INMOs , annual conference earlier this month, Minister for Health , Stephen Donnelly confirmed his department would explore all avenues to provide nursing accommodation. Responding to a suggestion from Clare Fianna Fáil Deputy, Cathal Crowe who claims the site would be ideal given its close proximity to University Hospital Limerick, HSE CEO, Bernard Gloster says the proposal would pose complications.
