Most Australians have probably never waited 11 hours in a queue for anything. Not for concert tickets, not to get into a sports game, and certainly not to cast a vote. But in the US, wait times up to that long are being reported in key states like Georgia, as voters navigate complex ID rules and new COVID-19 safety procedures before being able to submit their ballots.
