In the process, not only did he become the WEC lightweight champion, but he also won the belt in highlight real fashion with his showtime kick. There was a lot of hype behind him once he signed with the UFC. And although he lost in his debut, he won his next 4 fights and this lead to him capturing the UFC lightweight championship.
