Description

Massive high-pressure ridge over the Rockies and extending into the High Plains will be warming afternoon high temperatures from the low 90’s today into the upper 90’s and low 100’s. With dewpoints in the 60’s morning patchy fog, afternoon humidity and some locations mainly east of Highway 25 may see heat indexes approaching the 105-degree advisory levels Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Afternoon high records are in the 105 to 110 range. Monsoon rains to the west in the Rockies and Front Range, will bring a bit of relief for the prolonged extreme drought those areas have been experiencing for a long time. Locally, subsidence from the high pressure directly over the area will keep us dry!
