Homecoming - Chapter 1

<p>In this first chapter of Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt, we meet the four Tillerman children. Their mother leaves them in a car parked at a mall, ostensibly on their way to meet an aunt who has money and can help them. But the mother never returns and Dicey, the eldest does what she can to figure out how to help her sibling out and save themselves. We see what Dicey goes through that first day without their mother and leaves us anxious about the four children and their future.</p>
