I’m Meghan McCarty Carino. STORY 1 Stocks rose a bit Thursday. The Dow bumped up just under one tenth percent. The S&P gained two tenths percent. And the NASDAQ climbed about a third of a percent. STORY 2 Home prices hit a record high in June … according to the National Association of Realtors. Despite more properties on the market … prices increased about 23 percent over the previous year … driven by low mortgage rates and pent up demand thanks to the pandemic. STORY 3 High traffic websites from Amazon and Airbnb to major airlines went down mid-day Thursday. The outage was linked to a content delivery network on the east coast. The sites weren’t down for long … but it’s the third major internet outage to strike big websites in the last few months.
